James (Jim) Mourey, Ph.D., is an award-winning professor, author, and consultant whose research focuses on consumer behaviour, decision making, and relationships. His work has appeared in the Journal of Consumer Research, Psychological Science, and Social Cognition, as well as in popular press outlets like Scientific American, The Atlantic, and The Today Show. As an associate professor of marketing and director of the MBA program (FT) at DePaul University, Dr. Mourey teaches courses on consumer behaviour, marketing research, marketing strategy, branding, as well as a course on improvisational comedy.  A graduate of The Second City’s Conservatory, Dr. Mourey has also penned several marketing books – Urge, Fusion, The Relationship Diet – and even a murder mystery (ask him about it)! A blend of creativity, data, humour, teacher, and mad scientist, Dr. Mourey has a talent for communicating complex ideas in an easy-to-understand, entertaining, and practical way so that his audiences leave feeling inspired, smarter, and ready to take action!
